LUKE LITTLER FORCED TO WATCH FA CUP FINAL FROM HOME 'FOR OWN SAFETY' AS WEMBLEY PLANS CHANGE

Luke Littler is watching the FA Cup final at home for 'his own safety' after he won the Premier League of Darts.

Manchester United fan Littler had previously announced he was travelling to Wembley to watch the match against bitter rivals Man City but took to social media to explain why he wasn't in attendance.

Posting a picture to Instagram showing the final on his television back in Warrington, Littler wrote: "At home watching the game for my own safety today, YANITED."

Littler was in London earlier in the week for the Premier League of Darts. The talented youngster beat Michael Smith and Luke Humphries to win the trophy on his first appearance.

Littler claimed he was staying in London for the FA Cup final after he missed watching his beloved Man United last season, but was forced to change his mind.

After his darts win, he said: "I'll obviously get stopped for pictures and everything. I'll stop for a few but people have got to realise I have got to get on with my day as well.

"I just want to sit down and hopefully watch United win the trophy. I'm confident. I watched the final last year at home on the telly but now I have got the opportunity to watch it in person."

Littler is set to head to New York for the US Darts Masters following his Premier League win. The 17-year-old is then heading to Orlando, Florida to enjoy some well-earned down time with his family.

"I just want to go to the theme parks and have fun. It has been a crazy time. But I don't reflect on it that much," Littler added. "I have been twice before to Orlando. Obviously, I went to Wrestlemania — that's where my walk-out song came from."
