A viral video of Kasper Schmeichel performing 'The Danish Catch' as left some fans impressed and others confused.

Schmeichel started all three group games as Denmark secured their place in the last-16 of Euro 2024.

The Danes drew all three matches, finishing second in Group C behind England.

Schmeichel kept a clean sheet against Serbia on Tuesday but it was a moment during the warm-up that had fans singing his praises.

The Danish Catch is a technique that Schmeichel has used throughout his career and is synonymous with his home country.

As the ball travels towards him, Schmeichel sets himself and raises his hands towards his chin, tucking his elbows in before allowing the ball to hit his chest.

The placement of his arms creates a barrier and traps the ball safely.

It's hard to see exactly what happens in real time but a slowed down close up clip has garnered plenty of traction on social media.

'I've watched this s many times and still don't understand how,' wrote one while another said 'how's that for technique'.

Denmark will have to overcome the odds if they are to progress further at Euro 2024 after being drawn against hosts Germany on Saturday.
